DEPARTMENT AT A GLANCE
Dr. K.C.B.Govt. PG college Bhilai-3,Durg was established in year 1983. Undergraduate classes of Home Science are ongoing since 1988_89. Department consist of two assistant professors.
Department of home science enriching the students with scientific knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, Home Science Extension Education, Textile Fibre Science,FamilyResources Management,Human Development, Food and Nutrition.
Class test unit test and model exams are conducted as per academic calendar,helpto assess the progress of the students. Success rate of student lies between 95-100%.Departmenttry utmost for all round personality development of students, by regularly organising various workshops (cooking, stitching, flower arrangement ,beauty parlor& other craft/skill development) to make them self dependent.
B.A. passed out students of Home Science get jobs in Nursing, Railways Aganwadicentres,ICDS,teaching as well they can start then own business in various related fields.
